MAJOR GENERAL FRANKLIN CUMMINGS SIBERT (1891 – 1980), son of Major General William Luther Sibert⁴ (William³, David², John David¹)

Franklin Sibert was born on 3 January 1891. [1][2][3] He died on 24 June 1980. [2][4] He was married Helen Mildred Rogers on 4 March 1913. [1] She was born on 13 June 1893 and died on 18 May 1959. [2] Franklin and Helen are buried together in the Arlington National Cemetery. [2]

Franklin graduated from West Point in 1912. He was a soldier in World War I and fought at St. Mihiel, Aisne-Marne and Meuse-Argonne. [3] He served on General Joseph W. Stilwell' staff in the China-Burma-Indian Theater in World War II. He later commanded the 6th InfantryDivisionand the X Army Corps, 1944-46. [5]

Children of Franklin Cummings Sibert and Helen Mildred Rogers:

i. Franklin Rogers Sibert was born on 6 February 1914. [1]

ii. Katherine Mary Sibert was born on 27 April 1917. [1] She died on 23 December 1996 in Arlingron, Arlington County, Virginia and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. She married General Bruce Palmer.
